Essex Warhounds is a rapidly growing war games club based at the Hockley Hall where you’ll always get a game whether it’s pre-arranged or you just turn up and play.

On Sunday gaming nights you can pre-arrange a game or just turn up and play.
We provide the gaming tables and scenery. All you need is dice, rules and an army.
If you don’t have an army or would like to give a new game a try, then our experienced members have plenty of models for you to play with and will probably show you some cheesy tactics at the same time.
So if you’re in the Southend area of Essex and fancy a game, then come along! Our first night is free and there are always plenty of people to play against.
History
The club was started way back in 2006 by Nathan Burman. Originally the club was called Hockley Gaming Club, but we changed the name to Essex Warhounds when we joined the Gaming Club Network (GCN) –and let’s be honest, Essex Warhounds sounds cool!
While we started out as a war gaming club, we’ve accrued a lot of new members who brought with them a lot of new games. So now you will see regular games of Warmachine, Hordes, Flames of War and even RPGs amongst the typical mix of Warhammer 40K and Warhammer Fantasy.
We now have over 30 members from around Essex and further afield. Some even drive all the way from Hertfordshire for a good game!
